It is best to fly to Acapulco because it is
easier and quicker. The fares are quite reasonable especially
if you buy your flight tickets while you are in Mexico. You can
always find great discount prices on fares as well! Acapulco is an old city with picturesque bays on Mexico's Pacific coast. When we got on the taxi from the airport the ride to the resort was winding and swerving up high along the mountain road which gave us these wonderful panoramic views of the city. It's quite clear why famous people have chosen to live here. It is a unique looking place, however it has now become an overdeveloped tourist destination with high rise buildings and a multitude of resorts and hotels surrounding the location. The people are extremely friendly and helpful. They are quite eager to give you advice of what popular tourist ventures you can experience while you are in Acapulco. But watch out for the street venders their are so many of them especially at popular tourist spots. A highly recommended activity which you can do while you are there is take a cruise around the bay especially in the late afternoon when the sun is about to set you can get some fantastic photographs of the bay. It is a wonderful experience! Apart from going to the famous beaches in the area, another activity is to take a look at the local markets where you can pick up some great bargains. It is always nice to take something home to remember your visit to the famous city of Acapulco and don't be afraid to haggle for your purchase.
